Not exactly cooking, but its probably the best fit.
Never thought much about this before until last year. Right now grapes are in abundance here and from the wholesaler/producers you can buy large quantities at around 1/2 lira per kilo.
Without all the fermentation kits and gizmos that DIYers have available in the UK/USA, is it still possible to make a decent homemade wine?
We made wine once and thought it would taste awful, but we were surprised it was lovely. Mikes friend always made his own wine and used to decant it into used wine bottles so you wouldnt know the difference. Worked out about 50p a bottle I think
