If gelatine is available in TURKEY it would be Halal . Take a look at this site. 'halhalgelatine.com ' ,I think this was covered before on TLF. Mike.
Do a search under British sweets .

Yes, it's sold in most supermarkets under the Dr. Oetker brand as Jel‚tin.

Thanks for your replies. Went to the Migros and Tansas in Datca today, but couldn't find any Maybe going to Marmaris later in the week so will try one of the bigger stores.

Yildez I have gone ahead with the dessert for tomorrow night without gelatine, and am just hoping for the best!!!!
