Good Eats

After reading the thread on jaffa cakes i wonder if anyone has ideas of replacementa available in Turkey for things we miss from our previous life.

First off, not so much a replacement just a good find, in Dia, round tins of sardines [sardalya] packed in very little oil, v nice indeed as is the price 1tl!
I picked up another 5 tins before i posted this

Re: Good Eats

Now I miss that huge selection of ready made stuff in the supermarket freezers in England ie cakes, deserts, pies etc.

Not found anything to compare yet, except pizza and ice cream!

I always buy my butter in Bim gold and blue wrapper pastöize tereyağ 250g for 2.95 tl it's the best one I've tasted. I find Bim & Şok to be about the cheepest, eccept when Kipa has the one lira sale on I love this.
