Re: Help! Chicken Kiev

You will need the following as well as the ingredients you already have

One beaten egg
flour
One packet of Pane Harci (which is the crispy coating)
Chopped garlic
butter

Put the beaten egg in a saucer or shallow dish
Open the packet of Pane Harci and put in a shallow dish
Put some of the flower in a shallow dish
Use 3 separate dishes (man instruction only)

Method:

Mix the chopped garlic with the butter
Cut an opening in the chicken fillet and fill generously with the garlic butter
put the chicken fillet together (like a bread roll)
Place one side of the chicken fillet in the flour, turn over so both sides are covered
Place one side of the chicken fillet in the beaten egg, turn over so both sides are covered
Place the eggy chicken fillet in the pane harce and make sure it is totally covered

In a frying pan put some cooking oil (about 1/2")
Heat the oil until quite hot but not spitting
Place the chicken kiev in the hot oil and keep turning, making sure not to let it split open
Cook on both sides for about 10 minutes

Enjoy!!!

This method is for your male friend Philip, simples

Re: Help! Chicken Kiev

Chicken Breast - Split through middle, stuffed with Garlic Butter, covered in breadcrumbs and deep-fried. Accept no substitutes! (and also pass on to Turkish 'Chef's', most of whom do not know what a Chicken Kiev is (despite what's on their menu)

Re: Help! Chicken Kiev

Little tip. If you haven't got breadcrumbs (Galeta Uno) get yourself a packet of plain crisps - put in bag and take the rolling pin to them. Coat the chicken the same way with the crushed crisps - place on a baking tray into the oven - one of my favourites! Good attempt at culinary skills BTW of a lone male - most would be living off egg and chips. Enjoy Philip - oops (tell your friend to enjoy)
