flour tortilla recipe

deciding to have fajitas tonight i realised i had no flour tortillas in the cupboard so i made some and they were better than the shops ones, so heres the recipe

for 6 med tortillas:

4 heaped tbsp of plain flour
1/2 tsp of baking powder
1/2 tbsp of butter/cooking marg
good pinch of salt
and hot water

method:
rub the butter into flour,b.powder & salt, add hot water slowly mixing until it becomes a nice dough.
knead on a well floured board for around 5mins, cover and leave somewhere warm for 10 mins.
divide into 6 small golf ball size pieces
roll out tortilla thinly, one at a time
heat a heavy bottomed pan or flat griddle on medium high heat (dry no oil) cook on each side for about 30 seconds each side until they have little brown spots on and keep wrapped in a warm tea towel until you have cooked them all.

to make more just increase the recipe accordingly sam

Thank you. This is such a convenient recipe to have.

I think you need a minimum number of posts (e.g. 10) before the 'thanks' button appears.
