Re: Condensed milk

So far I've either taken it from Germany or bought it in Kos. Is this markomilk like Carnation evaporated milk or is it real thick sweet condensed milk? And please, whereabouts is it in Kipa - near sugar and coffee, or near milk? Many thanks.

Re: Condensed milk

..we buy it here in kusadasi in a shop called aladins cave ..it sells most european canned foods i use it for making the missus a bottle of baileys ..also it is not difficult to make ..see recipe here ..

...Ingredients
1 cup boiling water
1/4 cup margarine
2 cups white sugar
4 cups nonfat dry milk powder
Directions
1.Pour boiling water into blender container. Add margarine and sugar. Blend until combined. Add the dry milk powder 1 cup at a time, blending after each addition. Store in refrigerator and use where a recipe calls for sweetened condensed milk, 1 1/3 cups equals one 14 ounce can.

Re: Condensed milk

Take 1 300ml tumbler 1/2 filled with ice cubes, add Irish whiskey to 3/4 mark, add small amount of water.
Now take 1 100ml tumbler filled with 'condensed milk'.

Mode de employ: dip index finger into milk, lick it clean and wash out mouth with prepared whiskey solution.
This may not strictly be 'Bailey's' but it's a great way to use up those tins of milk.......

2 cups of whisky (not mugs !!!)
1 large can of Carnation Milk
1 large can of Nestles Condensed Milk
2 large spoons of coffee in a little hot water

Thanks, I will do this for my Sisters visit. Is the Glycerine very important as I don't have any and not sure if I can get it in BG.
