Can any one tell me the Turkish for porridge - and do you know anywhere in Dalaman that I can buy it from.

Thanks

Re: Porridge

Yulaf is oats but doesn't make good, old, traditional porridge - I speak from experience! I buy "Quaker White Porridge Oats" from Migros - 15TL but worth it. The import shop in Marmaris also sells porridge oats, but they sell out quickly.

You will find Yulaf Ezmesi in most supermarkets in Dalaman, including Sevikoglu at around 3.75TL .

Re: Porridge

If you are using oatmeal, rather than porridge oats to make porridge, you should soak it in a bowl of water overnight. You then simply add a little salt, bring it to the boil, simmer for a few minutes, then its ready.
Milk, a sprinkle of sugar, lovely.
Yes I know it’s only supposed to be Sassenachs who take sugar with their porridge, but that’s how I like it.
