Re: TLF Wine Club

A bottle of wine a day is not bad for you and abstaining is worse than drinking, claims scientist and Former World Health Organisation expert | TheLiberal.ie – Our News, Your Views

Re: TLF Wine Club

Old Auntie Mabel ( my husbands great Auntie) drank a bottle of sherry every night much to the disgust of some of her other family members.

Died two years ago at 104 years of age, facilities were perfect.

If you have the right genes go for it and be happy.

Re: TLF Wine Club

Went in Lidl yesterday, and they had loads of boxes of wine, selling per bottle at 2.99 each, 3 I got was Reisling Mose, Cotes de Gascogne & Orviator Classico, not sure what they will taste like, but too cheap to resist.

Worth checking out if you are going there, they were not with the wines but on an end aisle.

Struggs- I am not a wine expert by any stretch of the imagination but a mate of mine does know a bit and he has sung the praises of Aldi and Lidl for years re their good and cheap wines. And re your 2.99 bottles etc- I stock up in Lidl in Bulgaria on the drive to and back from Turkey and to use an example the same bottles that sell for 3.99 over here in the UK cost me 2.49Euros there. Saves a good few bob during a 2 month trip.

Ah Diane I hope whatever happened is not serious, and you managed to enjoy your dinner.
I think a fiver for a decent bottle these days is good, there is so much choice, We've recently started to use our little local Winery. They have 3 bottles on for 12, Wines such as Oxford Landing Cabernet, Rosemount Estate Grenache, and Hardys Varietal, just to name a few. Better and cheaper than some of the big supermarkets.
We bought a bottle Toffee Vodka there, and cracked that open on Christmas Eve, very moreish.
