Quick way to peel a spud

I have been doing it wrong forever. I will try it next time I am cooking some spuds.

This is perhaps the best hack that I've ever heard of. There is nothing that I hate more than peeling potatoes. It's so time consuming, and it without fail gets me into a bad mood. But this...it changes EVERYTHING!

He Makes Small Cuts Into The Potato. When I See Why? ABSOLUTELY BRILLIANT! | Diply

Re: Quick way to peel a spud

Just don't peel them, the skin is fine even on chips.

Re: Quick way to peel a spud

That is a most uneconomical way to boil potatoes and they are practically new so the skins would fall off anyway once cooked. Would like to see him do it with old potatoes.

Yes, this is how I make chips. The nutritionists tell us that most of the "goodness" in a potato is just under the skin. So removing the skin takes this as well.

But I just wondered if the guy in the video goes on to make chips with his peeled spuds.

Re: Quick way to peel a spud

I use the wide peeler for spuds, find it takes no time at all, now if someone could invent a quicker and easier way for sprouts, I would be interested.
