Re: Thailand

For a pleasurable flight I'd recommend Emirates - great entertainment and food, though not flown the route you're asking about, so perhaps others may give you feedback on that sector.

Chiang Mai is great but give it a miss in the rainy season!

Re: Thailand

As far as I know Turkish fly direct whereas the likes of Emirates, Qatar etc all stop off in the middle east, We will be using Turkish from Manchester to Singapore next year for that very reason,

Re: Thailand

Hi Hannah.

My Wife and I have flown with Turkish three time now to Bangkok and it was good. If you wish yo go Buisness Class then you get a Bed. If we go again then I would fly Turkish. It goes direct and takes about 11 hours. We always stay in Bangkok or we go to SOME SMALL VILLAGES not to far from Bangkok. It is very nice and we would go again.

Re: Thailand

Hannah, forgot to mention as you're flying from Istanbul (Turkey) then for a direct flight Turkish airlines will be the best, and they have lovely food too!

Friends of mine, living here in Datca, visit Thailand regularly - they always fly Turkish Airlines Business Class, using their TA air miles cards.

One of my old work mates used to go there . He was not blessed with good looks . We all realised that's why he went . Mind you we gave him some stick over the lady boys. LOL.

I went there a few years ago and was glad I did, well woRth a visit. We were staying in Hua Hin at the time and me and a mate decided to go on a tour up there. As we approached the area the Thai guide who was talking in English to a group of Scandinavians apart from me and John started off " The war started when Britain bombed Pearl Harbour" I never knew that !
