Yes I Hate the bull "traditions" but I have to accept local heritage
Animal cruelty is EVERYWHERE with some of the worst I have ever seen in Turkey
I remember specifically walking through central Fethiye and watching some scumbag drop kick a cat he was passing in the street. What made it even more disgusting is the amount of locals watching and all seemed to accept it as ok
Just like I had to accept the total bollox many Turks believe re cats in your house can give you cancer hence their cruelty to them- I have to avoid the barbaric treatment of bulls here
It is good that you do Philip... and agree there are cruel people everywhere and should be condemned.
It's a pity that you didn't take it for what it was against animal cruelty and accept the criticism of your new Homebase activities and not aimed at you, without what seems like the inevitable retaliatory kick back.
The difference for me is that whilst individuals( everywhere ) who attack animals of any sort should be condemned and when possible jailed.
the "bulls" is portrayed "entertainment " packaged for tourists to watch as fun and as the video said "the run" is now nothing to do with Spanish heritage but a drunken party package tour for the money. Not individuals personal cruelty but cruelty put on for the masses.

For once just accept something for what it is

Yes for a one off night " slumming it" apparently it's a bit of craic and an eye opener
Certainly in recent years it has become a novelty trip for Spaniards to complete as they go and observe English holidaymakers in an almost " zoo like" fashion with their drinking and behavioural antics
