Re: Travel Insurance

Have a look at this one, they offer no age limit, might only be single trip but also cover multi health conditions. I haven't used them personally but I'm sure they were mentioned a few years ago on this forum or CBF as being reasonable.

Re: Travel Insurance

Insurance for over 65's is a quagmire. So many that I looked at wouldn't insure for long stays like 45 days. Would only insure for 35 days. I ended up using LV this year. And like many on the net you fill all the questions in then you can't go any further....you have to call them. I wouldn't mind but I'm not doing bunji jumping or skiing or any dangerous activity apart from daily life but they still find the need to hike the prices. Never made a claim ever. Insurance for over 65's is now my pet hate every year.

Re: Travel Insurance

I suppose we should be realistic, fit & healthy at 70 today could be on deaths door in 6 months time, hence they are not too happy with yearly polices, but a good chance you will survive the next 4 weeks on a single policy.

Actually never thought about it that way but yes that makes sense, not that it pleases me though.

Sorry, no quotes available
Please contact our office on 0800 294 2969 or alternatively please try the single trip option.
Although at the very start it did have varied option for duration of travel which some people will want or find handy, I chose the 45 day option but without closing and starting all over again as the Go Back op tion does not allow one to keep going back to the start to change that. So guess I'LL just have to bare it and try again with a much lower option.

I will do next time but might leave it for now as I am already still covered for next months trip because under the T&Cs of the HSBC free insurance it was booked before my 70th birthday and so still covered.

Found this article which may give you some options, but you will probably have to spend some time checking them all out.
