Re: Travel Insurance

Have you tried Money saving expert ?, my young lady says there is a section dedicated to seniors, with and without existing conditions

She rates Debenhams, not sure on the over 70s bit though, but worth a look as well.

Re: Travel Insurance

Coverwise, I will be searching for next year.

..."Your annual travel insurance policy is due to finish on 16/09/2018

Our annual policies have an upper age limit and we are sorry to inform you that we are currently unable to provide annual cover after your policy ends. We do however offer single trip policies up to and including the age of 75"...

Sorry, but there were no policies that met your needs. Here are some of the possible reasons why and what you can do about it:
Your age; many insurers only offer policies up to a certain age (often 65), particularly when it comes to Annual Multi-Trip policies.

If you think it could be due to this, why not try searching for a single trip policy as insurers often have a much higher age limit for single trip policies.
Oh well it was worth a try, plus was on my list to try at some stage.

Re: Travel Insurance

Staysure quote sounds pretty good. I looked around before renewing with them but didn't find anywhere cheaper.

Re: Travel Insurance

oldfogy, I think I got that cover a year ago through one of the search websites eg `money saving expert`as yalimart suggested.

I may struggle for next year (at a reasonable price) as I have a need to visit USA and I hate to think what the cost will be.

Re: Travel Insurance

I'll probably go with StaySure as it does my head-in with all these searches and most ending in a decline or asking to be phoned, plus I was with them a few years ago but fortunately have never had a claim, saying that I have never had a claim in the last 25 years on any of my insurance policies.

I must admit though I was surprised with Aviva which I have had Free of charge through HSBC bank for the last couple of years and again without any claims and apart from another year older nothing else has changed and yet they don't won't to now take my money.
