We are new owners at Olive Tree and are experiencing problems with ODEK. A friend had offered to conduct the snagging and we assumed that having put it in place, there would not be a problem. ODEK now say I have to grant power of Attorney to him before they will release the keys. One suggested reason is that he is not a professional another that he is simply a third party. Has anyone else encountered this with ODEK and if so, how was it resolved? Is there anyone in Gulluk who could do it at short notice who would not be subject to ODEK's demand for the PoA?

In my opinion don`t pay anyone to do it it will only end up costing you a lot more money and no guarantee it will be done. What are they going to do ? take your money and then come back and say its not done! You then email them that x y and z has to be sorted ...they come back and tell you how much! More money....Forget it.

Hi Pat and Steve,

You may find that Odek are only saying they will not release keys to your friend. He/She may still be able to snag on your behalf because Odek will be there with them and will lock up afterwards. This will create a snagging list and you can sign for the keys when you first visit the apartment. What you won't be able to do is add any more snags that you may see as snagging with Odek is a one shot deal.

I did my own snagging and ended up clearing most of them myself. Your friend just needs to catch the 'biggies'. PM me for more advice if you want.
