Re: Electricity Charges

hi guys ,
i have to agree we are being ripped off by mavi, i confronted zeki myself regarding electric charges and those of us at sunset, sunset bay, seabreeze
are being charged 0.45 tl per unit.i have attached a email sent to me regarding
the electric, i am trying to get owners to fund a solicitor to look into the charges we are paying,
cheers paul

Hi Paul

How you doing? Finally got to speak to the electric company but didn't have much luck. Seems Odek own the transformer and the electric company will not take ownership until there are more properties / developments out that way so they can supply them as well. They suggested we get a copy of what Mavi pay the electric company to see if we are being overcharged for electric which would be illegal. Suffice to say Zeki blew us away when we asked for a copy of the invoice they pay to Tedas. When we challenged why we pay .45 tl per unit as oppsoed to other sites in the same position who either pay .28 0r .30tl he said we have to pay for the upkeep of the transformer and also a 900tl per month retainer for an electrical engineer in case of problems. People in Oba , Yasemin and Yesil Barish sites all pay their mgmt commitee same as us but they all pay either .28 or .30. He wouldn't tell us how much they pay the electric company and point blank refused to show us any paperwork because he said it's combined with Sunset Bay and is confidential!!! Same old crap we get anytime we ask for info if money is involved.

Re: Electricity Charges

One of our clients brought to our attention their electricity bill for the last two months.

Many owners of apartments in Gulluk are not familiar with having many guests. Those of you that are, will have come across the huge bills you get from Mavi.

It was my understanding that when a construction company builds a complex they have to pay for the transformer. Why should the electric company pay for it? I have never come across a company that provides this and say, this is mine and I will charge you for it. Why is everything to do with Gulluk about ripping off the owner?

If you go to Milas you will see transformers by blocks of flats, in resorts in Tuzla they are provided by the construction company. Some charge the same rate as the electric company some a little over. 45Krs per KW is day light robbery in anyone book. They even charge you for ready your meter so they can rip you off. Come on!
Getting the electric meter registered to the electric authority is the best way.

All of you have meter that have T1, T2, and t3 readings. This is a SMART meter that meters the reading at certain times of the day. Most people will be out during the day, so you would think most power is used at the cheapest time.

By the way. If anyone says they are being charged commercial rates, this is not true. These are in the region of 2.5TL - 4.5TL per KW. This is for large commercial users like factories.

Meters should be read using figures something like this:

Low rate 2200 - 0600 .23lira
Mid rate 0600 - 1700 .37lira
High rate 1700 - 2200 .13lira

Our electric bill is about 190TL for the two summer months. This includes air con usage and and high machine and iron usage (ie about 5 washes per day).

I keep on harping on about this, but this document is so important.

Re: Electricity Charges

If you copy and paste the link into your browser, it should work.
I have just tested it.

The document is stored in Google doc, and is downloadable or printable.
