Property Management
Hi all!
Im looking for someone to look after my little house on Gumsan 1 for me whilst I am not there. I have been using a company that have just got a little too expensive for me now. I have also been PM'd already by a couple of people (thanks!) but am trying to weigh up my options. What Im after is the following:
1. keyholding
2. regular housechecks
3. cleaning when required
4. washing of linen/towels when required (I have washing machine)
5. paying of electric bills
6. paying of water/ complex fees if required at the complex management office
7. someone who can arrange maintenance and advice if required.
8. someone that can arrange airport transfers
So..Im not after too much (!!!), but if anyone can help me, please, please PM me. I am coming over on the 8th, so hopefully can meet up and arrange something then.
many thanks
Sally

Re: Property Management
Is 400 GBP / year good enough for a yearly contract plus any additional services required??
Airport tranfer from airport to gumusluk with return 80 GBP.
Property cleaning 60 YTL.
Laundry 15 YTL / per load.

Re: Property Management
Have PMed with further details. We use FM Emlak who offer the services above for 30ytl per month and £30 per clean including linen/towels. Not sure about transfers though, but easy to arrange these direct anyway.

Re: Property Management
30 YTL to do regular checks at the property and all others! If you just take a dolmuş from yalikavak to gümüşlük the charge is 4 YTL with return. twice a month minimum is 8 YTL. You can't tel me that a company is running after all the listed to make a profit of 10 GBP approxm and spends time to pay water and electricity etc.
Cheap price means cheap service, that's overall in the world the same, but sorry I can't beleave the figure you are saying the company would charge.

The agent who looks after our property is in Gumusluk village and has a car. His main income is as an estate agent. He also looks after other properties and I expect combines the short trip around the bay to visit them all. He does not pay our electric as this is paid by ourselves to the site (but has settled it in the past when required). As for site fees - he does transfer these for us (probably pays a few at the same trip to the bank). He also has sorted out our council tax for us to save us the time and hassle. As I type he is currently liasing with a local service company to sort out our broken down washing machine for us and it will cost us no more than the repair for which he will obtain a receipt (he has also costed new machines incase we do not want to have it repaired).
The agent did sell us the property and seems very happy to offer the service to us at that price. Maybe he would not want to look after other properties or would charge more - I do not know, but I am just giving out information on what service we are being offered for those who are looking for someone to appoint. In fact the more properties the agent is looking after within the same area, the more cost effective it is to him and therefore helps him make a living (but probably not a killing!)
