Any News On Nokta?
Hi there,
Well this is my first time on your Forum, so I would like to say "Hi" and I hope every one is well and life is good for you guys in Bodrum.
I am not living in Turkey, although I do have an apartment there....but I would be most grateful if someone could let me know the score with Nokta.
I have a very long and very difficult dealings with this company, unfortunately not made any easier by the fact I am 1,000s of miles away and I have employed the services of 2 lawyers who are not so good. (understatement!)
I will later, if anyone is interested give the full length, un censored version of events. But until then can somebody tell me the TRUTH! Also, are there any other poor b**gers experiencing problems with this company? I d be pleased to know, and do you have a good lawyer to recommend.
Okay, thats all for now. Take it easy.

Hi and welcome, if you go to the Gumusluk section, then seven topics below yours you will find a section on Myndos Country which has some details on Nokta.
THe word on Mydos Country 2 is that the hoardings that went up 6 weeks ago have now been removed. TIT

Re: Any News On Nokta?
hi--just joined today & off to Gumusluk tomorrow! very concerned you have problems with Nokta--we are still waiting for our TAPU deeds--we bought in July 07--this is our 5th visit and each time we get a bit"fobbed off"--although I also am aware Turkish govt put a delay on back in April 08 temp suspending deeds issued to foreigners!
But what have you experienced?? I will go into forum whilst we are away there to see what you have experienced & see if we can get some answers whilst on the spot! Where have you bought? We are in Myndos 1- a great spot--but I want that TAPU!!!

Re: Any News On Nokta?
Hello and welcome,
Very swiftly, as I am flat out busy on the other side of the world. Where I now reside and have a small business in Phuket, Thailand. Thanks for your input, there has nt been anyone else giving away too much.
In a nutshell, I bought a unit at Seaside Residence, Gumusuluk with the 4 year rental income free everything etc in June/July 2005!!! Basically, I was nt too pleased with the finished item, after I had paid 80% or so of the agreed price. So my situation is very different possibly to yours or anyone elses. So I can not really blame Nokta too much. But, lets say they could have made things 100 times easier!
So where was I? Oh yeah, following 12 months of trying to resolve the matter with both Nokta and Superior, the UK estate agents I made the purchase through, nothing came to fruition. So I requested, (as per our contract) my money back, less a 10,000GBP Penalty Clause for cancelation. They refused! And this was never paid to me as of today!
There were many, many other cases of subtifuge, deceit and mis-truths told to me by various members of Superior & Nokta. Not to mention a whole heap of false details by their lawyer, a Ms Beran Ozertanlar. If you or anyone has dealings with her, please beware.
Also, I would at this juncture like to mention the very poor service, misguidence, false information and extremely exorbitant fees I was to be charge by a lawyer named Eilf Atas of Ekrem Sari Law in Bodrum. Whom basically did nothing worthy of payment in 10 months, well aside from telling me incorrect information. So please steer well clear of this law firm too.
But on a very positive note, a gentleman by the name Serbay Guder at Estatemar Int has been very helpful and has moved matters on more in 3 weeks, than two different sets of Turkish lawyers has managed in 12 months. This gentleman I was able to contact via the info I gleaned from this very website. And trust me on this one he is a good guy.
Mr Guder has been everything that you would expect from a company whos job it is to take care of Nokta's mess. He has now arranged for both mine & Nokta's legal representatives to meet and hopefully iron out this massive mess.
So fingers crossed! After three years I could do with a break.
As for what I have been able to understand of Nokta's troubles.......I really believe that Nokta are not truely the A##holes I thought. Secondly, yeah they ve got themselves into a stcky situation. And not all their own making. I think there is a lot of money owing to them, due to the TAPU suspension farce. So basically they are insolvent....at least at the moment. But they, possibly under the banks instructions, are trying to sort it out. Hence they have been appointed an Independent lawyer to arbitrate on their part. So be patient.
But to be honest and this is only my personal thoughts. I have had a very, very bad experience with both Nokta & another developer called Artev. Which together with the way I was served by 2 law firms, this has really soured my taste buds for Turkey. Both these developers/companies I bought the properties from, were for investment. And on completion neither of them were up to the article I signed up for.
I have lived all over the world and bought and sold property for the past 15 years. and I would not have done so in Turkey if I had have had a second chance.
I now live in a true paradise, where its a fraction of the costs of Turkey & the UK. I have bought a property that in my wildest dreams I would never be able to afford in Europe. Or even Turkey. Seriously, no bull it was 65,000GBP and its the Mutts Nuts. In Spain it would, or would have been 500,000Euro and in Turkey at least 250,000E.
And, yeah I know what your gonna say....But its in Thailand are you safe. after 22 years of visiting this beautiful country. I aint even gonna answer that, as if I need to!
So good luck to all you guys out there awaiting the Tapu's, it ll happen. And to all you others who did nt take the time to give me a clue on Nokta or a decent lawyer. Why the hell do you go on these forums....get a life!
Happy days.
