Electricity Bill

I bought a place in Gumsan 2 a couple of years ago. It took about a 18 months to become 100% legal with Tapu etc. I asked the previous owner when and how I pay the electricity. He said a bill is usually put in the meter box. I never ever got one last year or the year before , so every time we came over it was waith baited breath to see if we were still connected. I was told that I couldn't really get the name on the bill changed until after I was named as the owner on the Tapu. I'm coming over on the 29th of this month and am pretty nervous , as I have visions of us being cut off. If i am , does anyone know how , where etc I can get re connected and how I can get a bill paid and do they offer a direct debit service.

Re: Electricity Bill

Take your meter number to Aydım electrıc next to oasıs and ask them what the bıll ıs.
Normally bılls come every 8 weeks and are put next to your meter, unless you are on buılders electrıc.

Re: Electricity Bill

Not sure if your supplier is Aydem however, in Didim I needed my tapu, habitation certificate, and the builder's electrical plans.

I'm not sure whether the builder had to pay anything, apart from paying off any unpaid electrical bills.

Re: Electricity Bill

take your tapu and passport too. With a meter reading and the serial id of the meter snd they will sort this out.

Re: Electricity Bill

Well we got there and YES we were cut off. After 4 days we managed to get it put back on but needed a new builders electrical plan plus had to take Tapu and passport to Turg office. Was told the previous owner had NEVER paid an electric bill AND the meter that was there was not even registered at our house but was registered to a house in Yalikavak. I'm just happy I took along a Turkish guy from our Sitesi for translation purposes or I doubt we would have not needed to go through lawyers etc. I couldn't get in touch with the previous owner as they REALLY wanted to talk to him. Squeeky bum time when it came to paying the charges. It COULD have been alot more I was told but I got the manager on a good day. 400TL plus 400TL for drawing up the plans. Result I'd say.
