Re: S.S. Sankop Sanitcilar Sitesi, Turkbuku
Greetings Tina & Charlie, Lynne and greetings with thanks to Angie!
We've been offline for a while, so sorry for the lack of comms.
Afraid we're going to miss you this time around, Tina and Charlie. We're off to Turkey tomorrow (Sat. 26th) for three weeks, but hopefully will get back later in the year.
We'll seek you out, Lynne, when we get up to Gundogan and thence to Sankop. Can't be sure exactly when we'll get up there, coz we'll initially be meeting up with friends in the fleshpots of Gumbet - so a lost weekend is probably in the offing!
Once again, Angie, thanks for forwarding the report. We still haven't managed to get a translation - but hope to have more luck when we get to Turkey.
If it makes you guys left behind in the UK feel any better, we've apparently got at least 2 days of rain to look forward to when we arrive! Still, I know where I'd rather be!
Next posting - from Turkey (Hooray!)

Re: S.S. Sankop Sanitcilar Sitesi, Turkbuku
Hi there fellow Sankopees!
We were up there yesterday with some very nice folk (Hi there Lynne, Josh, Keith & Sylvia), and discovered that the management committee require a one off payment of 161 YTL (to cover what works exactly, I'm unsure!). Also, there are some people who are unaware - hardly surprising given the lack of info that Sankop provide - that the aidat is now 150 YTL per month. If this affects you, I'd get onto the case ASAP, because the late payment fees that they levy are horrendous!
Cheers,
Mark & Sue

I will be going to Sankop on Monday so will hopefully glean some info as I hear that one of the staff speaks reasonable English which is good news.

Hi Irene and John
By the time you arrive, Mark and Sue and Angie and Terry will be back in the UK. Sylvia and Keith are at 130 San Kop and will be there for the next 4 weeks. Pop in and see them as they are really nice......and make a good cup of tea !
If you have time pop in to our office ATLAS just off the centre of Gundogan beach behind the Antique Han Hotel for a chat........(but I make a rotten cup of tea !)
I was in the San Kop Ofis on Wednesday and nobody spoke English, so good luck with that.

Re: S.S. Sankop Sanitcilar Sitesi, Turkbuku
Hi there Sankopees,
Sue and I have been back home in 'sunny' Wales for a week now. We've not been on the forums before now because: a) We're in denial about being home from Turkey and
b) Our desktop PC has blown up in our absence, and the laptop is being a prima donna viz a viz it's relationship with our broadband connection!
However, we are still feeling the warmth (both literally and metaphorically) of the wonderful time that we spent on the Bodrum Peninsula. Every time we visit we seem to meet more and more wonderful folk, both Turkish and British, and this time was no exception.
Huge thanks, and hugs to Lynne & Coskun for all their help, advice and hospitality, and a big 'iechyd da' to Clive. Similarly, thanks to Debbie for putting up with all my neuroses regarding Turkish property law! Keith and Sylvia, it was a real pleasure meeting you - thanks for the tea. Sorry we didn't manage to catch up with Angie and Trev, but there's always next time.
Cheers everyone, see you at Sankop
Mark & Sue
