Re: S.S. Sankop Sanitcilar Sitesi, Turkbuku

Hi everyone,
I found this site randomly on internet while searching something about Sanatcilar Sitesi. I have a house in this site. Number is 103, near the pool with the dark brown pull-down shutters
I'm Turkish.
First of all, I want to say hello and wellcome to Turkey and SANKOP. I will be pleased to meet you and also help you for coop and governmental issues.
I'm now in Ankara and will be in SANKOP on 2nd August morning for 15 days.
My mom and dad are in SANKOP right now and my dad is good in English language and will be pleased to meet and help you.
Hope to see and meet all of you in SANKOP after 15 days
Best regards,
Ece

In Oct. 2004 we bought our house (aka joined the cooperative) on the above site, which is situated right on the border between Turkbuku/Gundogan, opposite the Hekimkoye complex.

Our agent was L&M Emlak, Bodrum. Throughout the buying process, and since they have been extremely helpful.

Recently, however, they have told us that we must pay £1000 'maps' fee as the cooperative is nearing completion/dissolution.

My question is twofold: Firstly, is 1000GBP, which is presumably being levied by Golturkbuku Belidiye, reasonable? Secondly, as we purchased our interest in the co-op prior to Nov. 2004, should we be paying this fee at all?

Our other concern is that if the co-op is being wound up, who will be responsible for any outstanding works on the site? And who will pick up the bill?

Any info from anyone who's familiar with this, or similar, situation would be much appreciated.

Many thanks

Mark & Sue

Re: S.S. Sankop Sanitcilar Sitesi, Turkbuku

Hi,
we purchased in 2006 at San Kop and we have also paid L & M £1000 for map search. After speaking to other Brits on the complex and a couple of people off the complex who live in Turkey, the general concencus is that it is a little high, perhaps £100 or so but L & M will take care of everything. Please don't take this as gospel it's only what has been said, we are in touch with about six other owners on site and they have all paid.
As for the membership disolving rumour has it that its only the foriegn investors that are getting there ' tapu's ' and the current board will remain for a while yet, then it will most likely carry on. We went to a pool side meeting last year and the Turkish owners are as keen to keep on improving things as us, they consider foriegn investment a good thing.
