Have SGK payments increased?

I previously paid my SGK on 28 November. Been to HalkBank today and was told I owe 460 lira! Surely it's not gone up that much!!

Re: Have SGK payments increased?

If you didn't pay anything for December I expect they are asking you to for December and January, I would of thought.

The 28th was about as late as possible, it only left the 31st of December and we've found trying to pay on the last day of the month is manic. I do agree with you that it's high time they introduced DD payments.

How can you find out when your due date is? I joined on 28th, so I've always paid it on that date. It's only since I renewed my residency in September and went to the office to tell them that my payments have been all over the place!

From January it is 235TL ish for a MARRIED couple. As far as I know it covers almost all medical conditions. There was some debate over pre-exisiting conditions but we were never asked to disclose any on the forms we filled in. It covers eye tests and gives a small discount against prescription specs and also emergency/necessary dental work.

No doubt someone who has had cause to use it more than us will answer your question more fully.

Note that if you have been resident for several months over a full year and decide to join you will probably be asked to back pay premiums.

Re: Have SGK payments increased?

Just interested in your last sentence.

What if you had residency for years and then decide to join

Have you to back pay for all the years you held residency even though you weren't on the scheme then?
