Turkey bans E-cigarettes?

Turkey is now considering banning the sale of e-cigarettes.

The product is already banned in Brazil, Singapore, Thailand and Australia.

While I can't comment on the cigarette banning, I think this is absolutely crazy to ban e-smoking.

The importation of e-cigs may also be banned.

I guess none of these have smoking problems, either active or passive.

Re: Turkey bans E-cigarettes?

While this doesn't affect me, I feel sorry for anyone who it does affect
Australia has long been on my list of countries I NEVER want to visit, the administration over there is stupid

Could this be being brought in because the tobacco companies or more specifically the nicoderm company (nicorette) are losing out? makes you wonder

Re: Turkey bans E-cigarettes?

Ted you are spot on.
Worked there for three years and it was a bureaucratic nightmare.

Re: Turkey bans E-cigarettes?

Perhaps supporting Ted's view of Oz, the legal situation there is that e-cigs are legal; but the nicotine solution to put in them is classed as a poison and hence illegal.

Ceni
It's what they call smoking with e-cigs
There is no smoke as sutch, just water vapour ...hence "Vaping"

Re: Turkey bans E-cigarettes?

Whilst out in Turkey last year I had no problem using e-cigs, but you could not buy them anywhere.
Make sure you take enough to last your holiday
