High Blood Pressure - Medication
My UK GP has put me on LOSARTAN POTASSIUM 100mg TABLETS for High Blood Pressure. I need to obtain the Turkish equivalent here in Alanya. Can anyone please tell me what I have to ask the Pharmacist for? I have looked on Ilacabak but they all seem to mention dextrose or be for IV use. Thank you.
I called to my pharmacist today so whilst there asked about Losartil. 100mg were 23tl for 30. It depends which brand you buy, some may be a little more some less. Just tell your pharmacist you need LOSARTAN POTASSIUM 100mg and he will have several brands that are all the same drug. Same as anything you pay more for a well known brand.
Hope that helps.

Talking about prices. When we were in Altinkum the prices for the same product were always dearer at pharmacies near the seafront rather than up in town, one pharmacist was 3 times the price of the town

Just to say we took the detailed information sheet from the box into the Pharmacist in Turkey and they checked the various ingredients and provided the same medication albeit under a different name. As an aside last year we spent 4 months in Turkey. We got enough medication on prescription to cover our whole stay and took it with us
