Re: Management Fees

I dont think anyone has any idea who these people are yet, they are not making a good impression i know some people on other sites have been given some details but they like to refer to themselves as "the landlord" which i cant see how as surely they should "the management company" but many people have not actually accepted any formal agreement from them as they had no such agreement with the previous people.

Re: Management Fees

Hi Phil

We got a breakdown of the charges and they will be maintained at 75 per month for 2009 but will increase to approximately 87 after, which will be inclusive of some communal charges including electricity but not including pool maintenance.

HI Mike tks for letting us know, I thought the costs might have been coming down not going up, we will have a look at it overall then we will see if we want to go ahead.

Hi Debbie
I must admit that 75 a month rising to 87 shortly for complex maintenance EXCLUDING THE POOL would lead me to put a big "For Sale" sign up if only visiting up to 3 times a year.
Surely that is an outrageous figure when very little maintenance seems to be done in winter and its all crammed into 8 months of the year.
If figures like that are the going rate then the expense of keeping a place in Turkey for merely holiday visits is getting ridiculous.

Re: Management Fees

Hi Debbie, Terry and Sue

I rang the company here in the UK and I was impressed with the service they intend to offer so we shall be definitely using them at Hillside. You get what you pay for and, at Hillside, the plots are big and need a lot of maintenance. I wouldn't be happy paying that amount at other sites where the plots and pools are much smaller, though. This is only my opinion (been criticised for expressing it in other threads!). We love it at Hillside and we want to keep it just the way it is and, hopefully, improved.

Hi Mike
I have never seen your complex but am unsure whether the "get what you pay for" comment applies in Turkey and ,after reading the low charges others pay on other threads,it does seem an awful lot with pool on top.
As you say in the end its what people are comfortable with and only you know the facilities but I have seen lower charges including both pool, restaurant, gym etc etc on past threads and I certainly wouldnt be happy paying it for a holiday home.
I guess if I lived there permanently it would be different but not for say 3 visits a year!!

I hope we can meet sometime and that everything works out ok back in the UK
Take it easy both!
