Cross Stitch And Drawing
Hi everybody,
We will be coming out in May till July and intend to spend more time in Altinkum after that. Does anybody know a nice, kind, very patient person with a good sense of humour who would be willing to show me how to cross stitch properly? I have tried in the past but I know I'm not doing it very well. I have bought myself a magnifying thingy as it would probably help if I could see what I was doing....my eyesight is rapidly declining probably due to years sitting in front of a computer screen. Also, I intend to draw (not me pension KayKay, not yet) a wee bit but would also like to meet up with anybody in Altinkum who draws or paints for pleasure. I haven't done any drawing since I was at school a good few years ago (think slates, lol) but really enjoyed it.
Looking forward to some interesting replies!!

Re: Cross Stitch And Drawing
Hi Cathi,
my hobby is cross stitch and I have some very large ones that have taken me up to two years each to complete.
I would be happy to show you how to do it. It's really just a case of following the pattern, though I do agree it can get confusing.
When you come over, would you be so kind as to bring me some DMC cottons, as they are very difficult to get here.
Thankyou very much

Re: Cross Stitch And Drawing
Pennie,
Mrs KKOB has got a large stock of DMC and Anchor here in Fethiye. If there are any particular colours you're desperate for, let me know the numbers and we'll see if what we can do for you.
A couple of the wool shops in Fethiye have just started stocking Anchor threads too. We can get them for you and post them.

Re: Cross Stitch And Drawing
Do I want any chocolate bringing out...............what a silly question!!!!
My girls and I would die for some cadburys chocolate and creme eggs in particular.
As for having patience, being married to Dean and having the terrible two as daughters, I have aquired plenty over the last 20 odd years.
I'll look up the pattern I wanted to do and PM you with the numbers of the DMC i required.
Alan, thankyou very much for your kind offer. I'll PM you as well.

Re: Cross Stitch And Drawing
I would have been happy to share me maltesers with you KayKay (just call me Pinnochio.......) but you were too busy being a midwife in Swanley Asda. You know you have to finish off the whole box once opened.......I'm sure someone told me ages ago that they tend to go off quickly even if replaced back in the fridge, so it's better to eat them all up.....er,em........
