Does anybody keep parrots? .. or know somebody that does?
I'm asking because Iv'e put together a parrot forum site & could use a few members to give it a kick start.

Re: Parrots
It's looking good Pete, but I don't keep parrots and at the moment don't know anybody who does. If I do hear of anybody I will recommend the site to them. Good luck and hope it goes well.

Re: Parrots
my brother once imported two African Grey's to Wales..he'd had them a long time in Ghana.....i believe it's now illegal.
one of them died soon afterwards and his wife gave the other one to
Penscynor Wildlife Park Cilfrew near Neath.that was donkeys years ago..i dont know how long they live for and if the bird is still there.
good luck with the forum

Re: Parrots
Thanks everyone Shirl, African greys can live for up to 70 years so they are a companion for life. Mags, you aren't the lady that keeps a Grey who lives on that slight incline going down to Dolphin square are you? .. And gwendy, what a clever Parrot you have

Re: Parrots
I have a noble macaw (Ara nobilis camanensis) whose name is Corky he is a hand reared english bird. It talks a fair bit and is very friendly I say it because without a DNA test I have been told it is impossible to sex them.
I will have a look at the forum, good uck with it.
