chess
Just wondered if anyone would like to play chess.lf you have a chess board, then its possible to play online,by marking all the squares with a code.Once they are marked, and both parties agree to the marking, then for every move to a square,is stated by the opponent where he moved, and then noted down, with the chess piece to that square.
Maybe another game added to the forums interest, for keen competitors.

Re: chess
I would simply adore to have a game of chess! don't know anybody who plays near me, and it's finding the time also currently as we are very busy.I am not sure that an online game would suit me as I like to look 'at the game' and relaxing. I would only stop to keep checking my emails etc. and not switch off. I used to play many years ago. few years ago my sister visited us when we lived in France and I remember vivdly she never played at home. When she suggested a game, I eagerly accepted with the old 'fools mate' well and truly on my mind to show she would never beat me.....she did!!! when I questioned her about it she told me she ran the chess club at school where she teaches!! B******s !

Re: chess
l'll get the coding sorted out,the coding will be similar to the grid map of Altinkum. When the person makes their move, then post it,maybe on a new thread,so others that wish to just be spectators will see the actions in their minds as it develops.

It would be better if you stuck to Jens Chat
Room Bob instead of the main forum.

Re: chess
i love chess..i used to play every day with some of our customers and locals when we had the restaurant...its a game thats very popular in Turkey..and with Scandinavians..but not many Brits play ...
playing on-line hasn't the same appeal...i like to see the pain when i beat a man...!!

Re: chess
Well Bob, it needs 2 or more people to be in there so you can communicate with each other. Try it by yourself and write your message it's quite easy.

Re: chess
Maybe you know there is chess at yahoo games. When you play with someone, the others can enter the room and watch the game and chat each other. Yoyu can also set time limits. It is free as far as I remember.
