Any parrot lovers ?
Just wondered if there are any parrot owners amongst the members ?

ive asked this before...on a different forum as we had loads of budgies last year....we had two hatch out and after they were feathered etc we notice one couldnt hop or stand ..the brother was fine. yusuf was going to put it down when we saw the sibling was feeding it on the floor of the cage. Not only feeding but grooming it and shoving it around from side to side ...wish we'd had a video. it looked after it like this for about three weeks and gradually its claws started to unfurl or whatever. Soon the lame chick could hop and then fly and grasp the perch. Anybody seen anything like this before. ..it was truly wonderful.

Awwww how cute Pete! Are you going to post some photos?
I used to have a budgie called Skippy when i was a child and it talked, my Dad trained it, I got it as a tiny baby. I was devastated when that bird died!
My budgie developed a tumour on the side of it but we had no money to get it treated so I had to watch it suffer and die and I've never got over that now I cannot bear to see any animal suffer  |
