Turkish version of Amazon

I've been recommended pandora.com.tr for buying books in Turkey. Has anyone tried it?

I have used them over the years. You may however struggle with their website (all Turkish). They will ask you to pay for a book through their bank account (Garanti I believe) but any branch, other than their own, will try to charge you a fee, which sometimes amounts to the same price as the book you are purchasing!!!

I didn't go this route but sent Pandora an email (in English) and got my reply back in English. They suggested I ring them and give them my credit card number over the phone. It all worked out well and received my books by cargo.

If you are looking for Turkish authors with translated text, try Amazon.UK. This is how I purchase my books these days, although the postage can make it expensive

Re: Turkish version of Amazon

They have English books at reasonable prices = 6 to 8 in TL. They also say on their website that for orders over 90 TL there will be no postage charge. I thought it would be a useful site for book clubs and non kindle owners. Now that I've heard that they are above board, I'll give them a go.

You can get around this by paying through the ATM or internet banking, you'll only be charged around 5 Lira or so.

How much do they charge for delivery to Turkey Neil? I've used them lots of times too but always had books delivered to home in England and get the kids to post them on to me.
