Two Appartments to rent - Altinkum

I have a friend who wants to let two 2nd floor apartments in Altinkum. They are situated just couple of mins from beach, close to family door restaraunt. Two bedrooms. approx £230/week on holiday basis. Long term let also considered - terms and price to be negotiated. If any one is intersted let me know and I'll put you in touch with lady concerned.

Crikey, I am advertising for rent a stunning 2 bed apartment in Turgutreis which is beautifully furnished with all mod cons, ADSL and satellite TV, pool and WOW views for £100 pw so that sounds expensive to me!

As a holiday let, so long as the apartments are furnished to a high standard incl air-con and on a complex with a nice pool, you're charging the right money.

I think it is a bit on the expensive side as I know someone who has just taken a 2 bed fully furnished, brand new apartment for £150 per MONTH. Mind you it is nearer to town end but for that money you jump on a bus.

Just because some apartments are going cheap doesn't mean that that is the right price to charge.
As a holiday let you should be working your figures on 8-12 weeks of lettings per year (if you can get more you're doing very well), factor in, advertising costs, maintenance, water and electric bills, up keep of the apartment, income tax (possibly turkish and english), trips out from England to look after the apartments (if you are not based in Turkey) as well as the original costs involved in buying and furnishing, and £150 per week simply isn't worth it.
we generally end up with 10-12 weeks of lettings per year and have done for the past 3 years.
You also want to consider the type of clientel you will be attracting with cheap pricing.....

I think people are getting a little confused here. Holiday lets are a world away from long term lets. £150 per month is fine for a long term tennant but if you have a property finished to a high standard and want to rent it out on a short term holiday basis then i think AdeSara is right to charge what she/he quotes on her/his website. I would expect a poor quality apartment for just over £100 a week.
I'm waiting for my 3 bed detatched villa/private pool to be finished in Akbuk and i intend to rent it out. I was thinking of charging £300 a week. It will be a gated 5 star complex with footy pitch, tennis court, main pool etc. I was worried i may be charging too much but i think this will now be my "mates rates"
£300 per week for a property that sleeps 6 is only £50 per person per week. Not bad at all if you ask me, I wouldnt complain if i were the customer.
At 150 quid a week the only clients you'll attract are gangs of young ones or dare i say, riff raff.
