Ha ha, No-nem knew a man with a van who was going to do trips between England and Turkey - it all fizzled out without anyone ever finding out who he was. Or was he just another figment of no-nem's over fertile imagination?

Hi Zoe,you might struggle as people entering Turkey should be bringing in their own goods otherwise you would have to go through import restrictions, also the mileage is 2,600miles as i drove it last month and will be driving back to the uk early next month.

Turkey has quite possibly the largest trucking fleet in Europe running freight from Afirca and the M East through to N Europe et al- you wont find the rates very expensive if you use a professional freight forwarder- and ussually the service is up to scratch on both ends- or us an ev nakliyet household furnishings remover - their rates ARE expensive biut there is a chap mrecommended somewhere on this foreum in Izmir I thinbk doing business that had reasonable rates.

I had experience of sending personal items from he uk,i had possibly a transit van full of goods,it cost over £1000 to send then once it arrived in Izmir i then had to pay a further £600 for the Turkish agent to deliver to Dalaman,i could not collect it myself under any circumstance, had to spend a whole harrowing day in Izmir waiting for customs clearance and also had to go through the residence permit as without it you cannot bring your items in,then had to pay customs £100 duty so think carefully if you really need them here at all,if you do bring them in and decide to take them back out they will charge you duty again !!
