Re: Why Amazon??

Before my wife and I married, I lived in England and she lived in Istanbul. She would send me a letter that would arrive in two days and I would reply. My letter got to Turkey in a day and would sit in Istanbul for seven to ten days. This was of course PTT the only cargo companies operating here were American firms like DHL and UPS. That was then of course and things have moved on but sadly the transport of goods here is still in the sixth century.

YurticiKargo are now one of the biggest carriers here but are a little too big for their boots and upset a lot of people. I tend to use the smaller newer companies where I can. However by using Amazon you are stuck with who they use (probably selected on cost and not dynamics) Anyway, to the point of my post....... I am assuming you live here in Turkey and that you are buying from Amazon uk, if it is mostly for the small electrical items you discribe why not buy in Turkey on line. There are several main high street stores such as; Bimeks, Teknosa, Vatan, Alkayaelectronik, all of whom use distance selling. When ordered free posting usually take about a week when paid postage it can arrive the next day. Also you are buying from the company's stock not out sourced like Amazon.

There are a couple of other internet sellers too, N11 who are like Amazon and out source also Hepsiburada.

Best of luck with your delivery but you now have other choices. Before you tell me the stuff is cheaper from Amazon remember this, buying here is quicker and any guarantees are here in Turkey.

Pete

Re: Why Amazon??

So I contacted Amazon support via chat and they told the delivery company to deliver it today, I'm very pleased but still unsure why I had to contact Amazon support to get them to deliver it. Why would they lie to me and say my package wasn't there when it clearly was? Odd.
