Smile New Computer

I think I will need to replace my "all in one" computer in Turkey soon. I am happy to buy one there but obviously this would come with a Turkish alphabet keyboard. I am thinking of buying English language keyboard in UK and computer in Turkey. I prefer to buy new keyboard as my intention is to replace old black computer with new white one. Any views out there on any alternative action?

Thanks in advance for any advice given!

P. S. I have now seen some "English" keyboards on Hepsiburada!!

Re: New Computer

The advantage of buying in Turkey is that there would be a guarantee that is valid here. A few years ago I brought a brand new (3 month old) Toshiba purchased in the Middle East. The mother board went and Toshiba Turkey would not honour the guarantee.

Re: New Computer

Bear in mind English keyboards come in many flavours and the ones sold in Turkey tend to be US English, they have a different layout to UK English.

Re: New Computer

I got a splash of coffee on my lappy keyboard
Had it replaced with a Turkish one and he sold me some stickers for the keys which were different
The stickers were American though and had a dollar sign but no pound sign . Apart from that there is no problem

Re: New Computer

I use a Turkish keyboard, but toggle between English and Turkish language on the computer as needed, which changes the keyboard as far as the computer is concerned. They are basically the same apart from a few extra keys, and you need to learn where some symbols are found. It makes replacement very simple if you need to swap.
