Anna, I'm sure things will get sorted......eventualy
What I have learnt in dealing with the local business people, is that things happen in Turkish time.

Time there is very flexible , you have to learn to keep your humour, learn to go with the flow, and nudge them from time to time.

I think most people don't mean to give you the run around, but they tend not to have schedules or the schedules tend to move around a lot

Anyway, it's not as bad as it seems (I hope )

Which agent did you use?

You are right about Turkish Mushtaq. We came to realise that the Turkish equivalent to the spanish Manyana is "Ah we wait for the man from Izmir". Every time we asked when the patio door (which was mis-aligned) was going to be fixed, this was the standard reply - and to other things too. It got quite funny cos when we asked when a job was to be done we ended up answering ourselves saying "yeah yeah we know, we are waiting for the man from Izmir", this was usually greeted with vigorous head nodding and a shrug of the shoulders.

There are some bits of the building work we were having done that we just gave up on and decided to do them ourselves rather than keep waiting for the builder to complete. Mick for some reason finds the odd jobs in Turkey more appealing than in England, must be the sun and Efes effect!

Hi Anna

Welcome to the forum. We are going to see Nazim in September about sorting some insurance out. So I can let you know what Nazim tells us when I get back.

Hi Mia and welcome. Two Keiths whoa that is more than anyone could cope with, one is bad enough....sorry sweetie!!! Is the curly mop still showing on the other forum then? I thought it was just us that could see it now cos Mushtaq has restored the original one.
Mushtaq, I did the F5 thing but can't get the original back on our screen and friends are saying it is still showing on theirs too. Is there anyway we can get the original back or should we submit a new piccie?
Lynn.

Lynn.....I think the curly mop was cute....he looked so boyish with it!!! Can you give him a moustache? Can I have a few pounds or should I say stones knocked off mine? I'd also like some cheekbones , a tummy tuck, bum tuck, thigh lift, breast reduction and botox please!
