Greetings everybody from a Newby.
Hello Folks. My name is Feargal, married with three young children (ages 4, 5 and 8) actively looking at various regions of Turkey for a 2-3 bedroom re-sale apartment with TAPU certification in place. Have enjoyed holidays in Turkey on 3 occasions (largely around the Bodrum Peninsula). I am not fixed on a specific area (ye I know what they say about location, location location) but Akbuk and Yalikavak do sound nice around Bodrum. Quite a few people (on and off the forum) seem to suggest that the Mediterranean coast offers more opportunity and Kemer keeps popping up as being an attractive resort in and out of the main tourist season. In general looking at a 2-3 bedroom units with the usual facilities (communal pool/balcony/sea view etc.) in a relatively quite location but with ease of access to a larger resort. I don’t want to give the game away financially but anything north of £60,000 won’t go down to well with the bank maqnager. Any suggestions?.

Kemer could be a good option, close proximity to the airport but i'm unsure of the prices.

Belek is also a good location (i.e. around Antalya) not sure about the prices though.

Hello Feargal & family, and Failte to TLF. Would I be right in guessing that you hail from Co. Kilkenny? If so, I'll bet you really confuse the market traders when they ask where you come from......they won't have practiced the Kilkenny accent.
Good luck with your property search. It shouldn't be difficult finding something suitable within your budget.

Good guess Guz1 and you are correct but currently residing in Cheshire. Thanks for the help so far from TLF members and any suggestions are gratefully received.
