Hi there! I live in Altinkum, Turkey, and have just registered with Turkish Living Forum. I have been here nearly 9 years now, have 5 cats, 3 dogs, OH! and a husband! I am on the committee for the new animal charity that is in the process of being set up, Didim Friends of Animals, and also write for and edit the new English newspaper, The Didymian. Great to hear from anyone, anywhere, about anything!!

You can answer loads of questions and alleviate many worries about moving to Altinkum 100% Karen & I have a Villa in Hunter valley down behind the Police Sataion.. It will be nice when we can actually give a proper address. When people ask us our address I just shrug....lol.. Look forward to meeting you and the Boss sometime??????..lol

Welcome Gillyghoul,
It was great to hear the news towards the end of last year about the animal welfare place, will be bringing out chews with me in June. How do we get in touch with everyone about the shelter when we visit??
Really looking forward to reading the newspaper, how often is it published and where can you buy a copy??

Look forward to your postings

Hi Gilly welcome to the forum, I live near to Fethiye, and they have an excellent animal welfare service for the street animals. I have to loudly applaud all the work you people do, we have a good share of street dogs here, but ekpt under control through the neuturing service, and in quite good health. However, in Antalya and outlying areas they were over run by dogs and had no such service, it broke my heart to see the poor things, due to the fact that they do not have such a facility the animals very reproducing at great speed, evidence was seeing these creatures strolling around in packs some near to deaths door.
Keep up your good work, and again welcome to the forum.

Well done on setting up the charity, it's not everyone who is willing to give up their free time for such a good cause.
Keep up the good work
