Hi everyone, I'm Alan from Hull, E Yorks.I live with partner Debs & her 2 girls.At the mo I'm trying to find out how this forum works so bear with me.I've holidayed in Turkey 4 times and am going back to Altinkum in July.I'm ex-RAF (sorry) & took my pension & ran 14 years ago. I'm sorta retired cos with my business interests n pensions I don't have to do too much. I've lived in Malta, Cyprus & Italy with the forces and would like to spend more time abroad. Can't be done just yet as Debs at Uni for almost three yrs..maybe after that..that's all 4 now.

Welcome to this friendly forum great to have you here. Lots of peeps with an interest in Altinkum, I have never been there but might just pop up in April when we next go over. Look forward to yourposts once you get used to it. lol

PS. It's always very nice to have the rich on here [:0] lol there's lots of rich peeps who have villas in Calis and Fethiye, they're all rich lol and Mushtaq and Paul (Speedy) from Altinkum, forgot about them for a mo lol

from what I can gather..not many of u peeps live over there full time..I would love to before the years run out on me..Altinkum is a lovely place..first went there in 92..last trip in 01 (9/11) my birthday (hard to forget). Spent nearly 4 yrs in Cyprus..lovely island too..three yrs Malta (pokey little hole but pleasant for a week !)..six months Italy (ignorant race mostly..in their own back yard)..been to most places in Med on holidays..have friends with their own properties in Turkey & Cyprus.By the way I aint rich..but not poor either..nice hearin from you & thanks Mushtaq for info & Speedy also..

Nice to see that you are of the same state of mind as many of us on here. I have been on holiday to many places but once I discovered Turkey I was hooked. We bought in Altinkum 2003 and hope within the next 9 years, to retire out there. Are you going out this year?? I live in Scotland however my sister married a Hull man so over the years have been in your area quite a few times.

Aren't you lucky having lived in all those lovely places and here's poor me stuck in Glasgow lol.
We've got a small 2 bed place in Calis (a foot on the ladder so to speak) but hopefully like many others here will retire there in the future. Have to make do with holidays only for the moment

Hi Ian..I'm Alan..Alain is my "stage name"..no I haven't got a place as I can't leave UK for at least 3 yrs and won't be able 2 get time 2 look around..at present I have 2 be satisfied with hols...have been 2 Altinkum twice n goin again in Jul..how bout you ?

Hi Barbara..which part of my home town do you visit?? I say my home town loosely as I only came back in '97 after being away for 28 yrs.I have also lived in Scotland...18 months at Benbecula & 3 1/2 years near Dunfermline.
Some good memories..
