Hi all,

We're Pete & Wendy from Norfolk, we have 2 grown up daughters that tell us they've left home. We've been holidaying in the Ovacik/Hisaronu area for the last 10yrs and have a duplex apartment there, which we try to visit 2 or 3 times a year and let for the rest of the time.
I was in the the RAF for 25yrs so have seen a fair bit of the world and i've travelled quite a bit in the eastern part of the country so I count myself lucky to have seen some of the real delights Turkey has to offer.
We're looking forward to reading all your thoughts and opinions about Turkey and hope to offer our penny's worth when called on............Pete

Hi Pete,

Welcome to the forum, we have a villa just down the road from you on Calis Beach, see www.villa-fleur.co.uk

I often look at the map of Turkey which covers most of my office wall at home and wonder what it is like further east, one day I plan to hire a car and drive that coast road running east from Antalya, I have not even heard of some of the towns and villages dotted along that coastline, the bit opposite Cyprus looks particualarly nice, however I am not sure how comfortable I would be venturing further than that, sitting on the beach on the border of Syria might not be the best idea ?

Hi Pete and Wendy to the forum, we live between Fethiye and Calis and use Hisaronu and Olu Deniz frequently and even more so in the summer season. Obviously, as you have been holidaying in the region for the last 10years do not have to tell about the magic of the area!!
Welcome to the forum, and look forward to your future postings.
