Starman - airport

Hi Starman it is a long haul 2 and a half hours waiting in the airport before boarding a plane which is approximately 4 hours or more then the time to go through passport control picking cases up. Then the journey to the airport and the destination of an hour and a half. It is very tiring and everyone wants to get to their destination quick. I reckon about 10-11 hours in all. Good for people in the taxi business!

Ivy it's so confusing when you first start using a forum, I didn't realise about the active topic or the profile etc but I've got it now and I'm hooked. Keep going and you will be an expert before you know it

Hi Ivy I know what you mean about the airport business.

People say oh Turkey is only 4 hours away, not its not depending on where you live in the UK.

I have to travel to Manchester which takes about an hour, then as you say two and a half hours in the airport, then 4 hours on the plane then maybe an hour getting to your destination in Turkey! Its more like 8 hours. Can be worse if you have to get a plane from Gatwick from Liverpool.

You can get to Turkey in the winter and fly to Bodrum, it will just take you the whole day to do it.
I used to live next to Heathrow so was never a problem for me any time of year.
