hi everybody
sue and myself have lived in Kent UK for 20 years and have just bought an apartment in Fethiye for our own use and letting possibly later.
Any news of the area eg the Gocek Tunnel, the new winter opening of Dalaman airport and its international status would be welcomed.
We bought through a local agent Sevenhills Estates who have been excellent as it has been done via the internet with our first visit due about March 2006. We have bought an apartment at Forest hills the new complex where the 2nd phase is going up.We bought on the 1st phase at the front which has just been finished.Are they nice as the pictures look brill
We realise that the pace of Turkish life is slow but the area looks lovely.

Hi Terry and Sue and a warm welcome to TLF, congratulations on your purchase in Forest Hills, it is lovely with lovely mountain views.

The Gocek Tunnel loks to be delayed, by a few months but could be open by the end of next year, The new Dalaman terminal airport is due to be open in April 2006 but you could just catch it in March.

Search through the forums, the search facility at the top of the forum, type in a word and IE: Fethiye and it will through up all the threads with this word.

Welcome Terry and Sue, I don't know much about your area but we did drive through it 3 week ago and it looked gorgeous? you'll be glad of the tunnel though, the mountain road is a nightmare

We will come out in March/April to sort out furniture etc and are bringing my 86 yr old mum with us. How bad is that road and should we hire a car or risk being picked up by our estate agents, bearing in mind I am a terrible back seat driver haha.
Have you any news of this delayed tunnel at Gocek and will it be that good?
