Re: Sky Go and VPN

The short answer is yes.
Assuming the VPN you are using has a UK node.

Re: Sky Go and VPN

Hi Takinman,
You have your answer from Rob, just to explain it a little, things like your Sky subscription and BBC iplayer are only available while your in the uk, the VPN (with a uk address) will fool your service into thinking your still in the uk, hey presto.

As Rob has said - yes, I used it all of last season & it was spot on. You can also watch Bt sport with your VPN but make sure you have un-limited wifi contract.

Re: Sky Go and VPN

Funny you should mention PIA Bueman.
Here is my opinion why that company is amongst the best.
Internet censorship in Turkey

Re: Sky Go and VPN

Hi Rob

Thanks for sharing that info......never realised those conditions or law existed in Turkey.

I use PIA to stream content over the net....trying to make best use of P2P at the moment.

Some of the links I am using suffer buffering and it is amazing how changing location results in better quality streaming.

The paid for VPN's really offer the best service......I took a years subscription....there is the option to take lesser periods.....the pick and choose option may allow others to fit Turkey into their travel arrangements. Cost approx 20

I have ditched my SKY SUBS..... saving of 90 per month.

Not sure how the Sky Stream would hold up using wifi at local Bars and Cafe's.

Mobdro app on Android might work better.....all the Movies and sports are free there.

What do you think about the Mobdro app in Turkey Rob?
