The Greek island near Cesme is Chios.
Rather than look at UK websites look at Turkish websites like Sahibinden.com and Hurriyetemlak.com

How is the Mossie situation in koycegiz? It used to be awful when we visited.

Two pieces of advice.
1. Don't buy anything off plan.
2.Don't trust ANYBODY.

Thanks I was considering off plan if something suitable was offered but with this and many other's advise and comments on here, I might just give it a miss....

Thank goodness, someone taking note of the advice being offered.
I think you may find there are plenty of re-sale properties around, obviously the trick if finding them and having a price excepted, maybe being able to open up your ideal search area to cover slightly outlying areas might also be helpful.

Are you looking to buy a holiday home - maybe a retirement place? Or are you looking to make a smart financial investment? I suspect the two things can be very different.

I was looking for something in the Aydin region.......North of Bodrum - South of Kusadai and something close to the coast line.
