Help needed - Where is the best place to buy furniture in Ayvalik or Izmir
Hello out there....
Just purchased a house in Bademli, nr Dikili.
Going out in the Easter break to furnish it.
Been looking at the IKEA catalogue, but wondered what private or chain store alternative are available.  |

Its really fun furnishing your own place using local stores and contacts.
We are in Fethiye and we furnished our 2 bed apartment in 5 days including fitted nets and curtains.
I think Ikea type stuff is very bland and pre packaged but the real enjoyment is doing it all yourself and choosing individual items to your own taste with a "Turkey" feel to it
I think if you buy the standard house furniture packages from places like Ikea you may as well be living in a "buy to let" Barratts home on an estate of 300 houses in Middle England.
