stansted to Izmir
Lastminute.com are selling sunexspress stansted to Izmir flight at a very good price and good flight times. However, I emailed sunexpress a few weeks ago and they said that they only fly to Antalya from Stansted. I have emailed them again today to tell them that lastminute.com are selling the stansted to izmir route. I will let you know what they say when they reply. It is very confusing!!
Has anyone else booked this route for this year and if so have you had tickets and confirmation etc.

This is not a direct flight, I think it has a couple of stops in Germany.

It does state on last min.com that it is an in-direct flight, in small print of course!

I will go and have another look. I am sure the flight times didn't indicate a stop over but I will let you know.

your right Gail .. i had checked last week to go out in May & i had to change twice with Sun express, i just searched a random date in July & it states it is a direct flight ... maybe Sunexpress have finally decided to schedule the flight they have been promising for the past 2 years 
Strange that it cant be booked on The Sunexpress website tho |

I booked from Stansted to Izmir with them travelling out on 5 April. As far as I can see on my ticket its a direct flight
BUT
they called a couple of days ago and moved the flight to 7 April. no explanation given
so we wait with bated breath (we previously flew with Turkish Airlines via Istanbul and BA direct)

Yes, that is why I am dubious about booking with them, especially when your dates are not that flexible. I have reserved all my flights for this year with Turkish airlines from Stansted to Izmir via Istabul. They fly daily and although I hate Istanbul airport as it is so big, at least you can do your visa and passport control their and not have to worry about it in Izmir.

have you looked into flying with Cyprus Turkish airlines, they fly direct to Izmir from Stansted, they have some very good fares

Yes, we have used them before but this year their prices are coming up quite expensive, nearly £300 each in May and August. Do you think it would be cheaper if I ring them?
