merhaba!the best way to find an apartament in izmir??is there anybody who knows about a good agency or maybe in some newspapers?? I want to live in konak(esendere).thanks.

Walk around and look at the windows for 'Kiralık'.

That's what we did, found a nice place to rent 500ytl a month, everything with emlaks or online was at least 650ytl and many were no where near as nice as we found.

Also the one we found said 'Satılık' but we decided to phone and see if they wanted to rent and he was happy to do so.

We're in Güzelbahçe just outside İzmir.

thanks turtle.there is a lot under kiralik..i have just looked in emlak net.somebody said to me that esendere is a nice area,but i don't know if it is on the seaside.actually i would like to meet beter an owner than to have to do with the agency.i see you.thanks

Well guzelyali is nice, and there are plenty of apts for rent that i see every day. it is a short ride to konak. Where will you be working? in Alsancak? in which case you should look in alsancak on the water front there. It is a lovely area. If i can be of help, pm me. I am in izmir for a couple more weeks.
