Hi Dianne - wow you do get around I asked Sula where you were the last I was over in Turgutreis and I think you were working in a hotel then.
Good luck Dianne, I hope you settle and are happy in Kalkan and stay for years Take care x

Re: vantage turkey
The thread title gives it away - not another estate agent! Last year there even was one on the harbourside where you would expect a bar or restaurant.
Badly built, prominently sited villas on concrete tracks masquerading as roads are slowly spoiling Kalkan - how long will it remain "an investment opportunity" rather than a lovely holiday destination?

Re: vantage turkey
Oh Tucker how right you are, When will they learn especially as the properties are not selling anyway at the moment and those that are, very slowly, still things will change yet again, over the years we have seen all the many eating places built used then changed to various other businesses (estate agents at the moment), where have all the carpet shops gone etc for example?

Re: vantage turkey
My husband only comented yesterday, that of the eight luxury villas on the Turquoise site (£300,000 each) new build in Kalamar, four have been sold and one reserved. So the top end seems to be moving.

Re: vantage turkey
I was going to Kalkan 15 years or more ago, it has always been my favourite Turkish place but I bought near Turgutreis.
It's about 8 years since I was there and think it must have changed a lot, I hope not for the worse, I don't recall seeing an estate agent there when I was there last............but the views and places to eat were fantastic.
It was like a comfy old pair of slippers you could just slip back into it, relaxation was instantaneous on arrival.
