Re: Please help!

I had to show my blue book (year's residency) and give them photo copy, dont think you can your stuff out here on a 3 month visa, but i'm sure someone on here will be able to clarify this.
In hindsight i wish i never bothered it cost far to much and would have been cheaper to buy new here.
You could always put your personal items in storage or ask a family member to look after them for you.

Re: Please help!

thanks for the replies im not going to be taking alot as my family will bring me bits and pieces. I enquired with a travel agent as i asked if i could book more luggage allowance if i bought my ticket with them as ur only allowed 15kgs then can pay extra to make it 20kgs, but they told me i couldnt have anymore then that and i would have to book more tickets to make up to the weight i was roughly going to be taking. But i am only looking to take 2 suitcases but obviously i dont know the weight yet and the way the travel agent told me is going to be expensive so was just trying to find a better way

Re: Please help!

Who are you flying with?

It is always possible to take excess baggage. However, if you know the airline, it is cheaper to pay in advance rather than on the day, as you will get a better rate.

Hope that this helps.

Re: Please help!

try booking with Ba as they have a bigger baggage allowance than the charter operators.

the flight may be more but I'm sure in the long run it will work out cheaper.

good Luck

Eve

Re: Please help!

Hi missmarmaris,

I've just been looking into the very same subject. Not sure who you're flying with but if you book with Easyjet you can add up to a further 12kg on top of the original 20kg allowance obviously at an extra cost - it's 18 per extra 3kg. Little bit steep I think.

Not sure how that compares with other airlines or shipping an extra box out separately?

Re: Please help!

Might be worth checking out KTHY, probably
best to call them to check out how much they would charge
for an extra bag, when are you wanting to fly out?
