Eating out in Kalkan

In a recent viewing trip of clients interested in buying a Kalkan villa we had lunch at Kaptanís on Kalamar Road. The staff were very friendly, the couches very comfy and the food was delicious. I chose the fishcakes; two large portions were cooked to perfection, nice and crispy exterior with scrumptious mixture including plenty of fish meat. It was perfectly complimented by the delicate dill sauce with cream and white wine.

My client enjoyed her Ceazar salad in terms of flavour but suggested that they could do with less salad cream. A fact that was served in elegant glasses and they were a generous size. the Angora white is fresh on the nose with a hint of peach and lemongrass. A well balanced crisp wine that is both fruity and dry.

Chillies is an affordable restaurant on Kalamar Road in Kalkan. It is conveniently located 50 meters from the intersection of the main road into Kalkan and Kalamar Road. Staff are super friendly and jovial. It is a place that both adults and Kids can enjoy; there is plenty of space between the tables, so you wonít be bothered by anyone. Quite simply relax and enjoy fresh Turkish food without paying a fortune.

Re: Eating out in Kalkan

Bit confused Propertysource as you are talking about 2 different restaurants as if they were one. Kaptains Tapas and wine bar is next door to Chillies, which is generally Turkish food. Are you saying you enjoyed both? Both places have another restaurant in the old town.

Re: Eating out in Kalkan

Just come back to this forum having got very fed up with the triviality of much of the EK forum.
For clarity, the excellent Chillies has moved and re-opens tomorrow still in the Kalamar Road but now below the Need Company showroom and next to The Lounge. They will be open all winter. (not being paid to write this just like the place!)
