Kalkan 2013

On another Forum of which I contribute there is a family coming out from March 30th to April 13th and they are asking what restaurants and beach clubs would be open at that time of year, if any at all please.

Re: Kalkan 2013

Hi Barbles, as Easter Sunday is on 31st March in 2013, most of the restaurants will probably be open, they know that Brits will be on holiday so look to take advantage. in any case there are several places open all year round through out the town.

Re: Kalkan 2013

Beach clubs don't open until the end of April so I would doubt that any will be open when they are there.
Some restaurants will be open but Easter being early won't probably bring in enough visitors to the town for most to open as there will only be a few flights operating in March & April.

Re: Kalkan 2013

We had our 1st guests of the year stay in our villa 1st week in April, the left very +ve feed back about the area. As mentioned the beach clubs are closed as are many of the roof top restaurants, but there are many places open and quite a few guests (often owners opening up their villas and apartments for the season). Swimming pools are a bit cool, but the guests we had apparently swam every day (much to the amusement of the locals!)

Re: Kalkan 2013

I'm pretty sure no beach clubs will be open or boat trips running as it is too early. There will be plenty of places to eat, although as a previous poster says the roof tops probably won't be. The link below says where is open over the winter and others will also have opened by early April. If it's cool in the evening there are plenty places with an inside area or with the plastic screens to stop the wind.

The KTLN Guide to what's open out of season 2013/14 · Kalkan Turkey · Kalkan Weather · Kalkan Information · Kalkan Map · Kalkan Turkish Local News

We love early in the season, it's like watching a flower open up with something new every day. The local people are fresh after the winter and are very welcoming and have time to talk and aren't rushed off their feet. Pools and the sea will be cold. It's also a perfect time to look round the area without wilting in the sun.
