My son has just telephoned to say that there has been a fire this evening about 1 km from our villa in Karacarli, he said that you could see the flames from the villa. There has been 3 helicopters and 2 planes putting the fire out.

He said it seems to under control now.

Our villa is in Karacali,near the school, and we are going out in just over three weeks. Does anyone know exactly where the fire was, as it would be nice to know we have a villa to go to! We have got someone looking after the house whilst we are not there, and some friends are in the villa at the moment - assuming the bbq hasn't got out of hand or my friend hasn't attempted to cook, (she doesn't at home!), we should be ok!It would be nice to know the exact location though, and whether anyone was hurt.

Also, any update on the high street? Is it one way, if so which way, and has it been resurfaced?

Calm down everybody. The fire was at Serifler. Yes you could see it from Karacali Mah, there were 2 helicopters which rapidly put out the fire. No problem!
